Basia Family Sets an Exemplary Example of Community Service: Rajesh Chetan
155 Patients Examined at BPMS’s 43rd Free Medical and Eye Camp; 19 Selected for Cataract Surgery


Bhiwani: A large number of patients turned up at the 43rd Free Eye and Medical Camp organised by Bhiwani Parivar Maitri Sangh (BPMS), continuing the organisation’s tradition of dedicated community service. A total of 155 patients underwent OPD consultations, while 19 patients were selected for cataract surgery following medical examination and doctors’ recommendations. In addition, 27 patients underwent oral screening, nine patients were examined for pre-cancerous conditions, and one patient with suspected cancer was referred for further evaluation and treatment.
The camp was organised at Shri Krishna Pranami Temple in the presence of the Shri Krishna Basia family, in the fond memory of renowned philanthropist Late Shri Murari Lal Basia and Late Smt. Mani Devi Basia, a symbol of women’s empowerment and social service.
Rajesh Chetan, President of Bhiwani Parivar Maitri Sangh, internationally acclaimed poet and a renowned stage anchor, said that through its previous 42 free eye and medical camps, the organisation has provided high-quality, free healthcare services to thousands of needy patients from Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Rohtak and Delhi, as well as parts of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
While highlighting the Basia family’s contribution to society, Rajesh Chetan particularly appreciated Shri Krishna Basia for his remarkable commitment to public welfare. He said that through his service to the community, Shri Krishna Basia had brought recognition and pride to Bhiwani across the country. “Shri Krishna Basia and his family have set an exemplary benchmark in serving the needy. Hello is running charitable hospital in Delhi where hundreds of patients receive treatment every day. His contribution to helping the poor, needy and underprivileged, as well as in education and promoting social harmony, is also highly commendable,” he said.
Rajesh Chetan said BPMS is not merely an organisation but a mission dedicated to serving humanity. It has not only been extending support to needy patients at every level but has also created a broad platform for social workers and philanthropists from different sections of society to come together for public welfare. He added that the organisation’s work is now being recognised across the country.
Senior doctors from renowned hospitals in Delhi, including Venu Eye Institute and Research Centre and Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, examined the patients at the camp and provided medical advice.
Rajesh Chetan said Bhiwani Parivar Maitri Sangh has emerged as an important centre of healthcare support for people in need. He reiterated that the organisation is committed to continuing its series of free eye and medical camps in the future.
He said BPMS would continue to fulfil its social responsibility with the same spirit of service, cooperation and human compassion, ensuring that quality healthcare reaches those who need it the most.
